We are currently on winter vacation, working on Mary's wedding, waiting on the my first grandchild, but will be up and running soon! After coming home one night from taking pictures from Rush Creek Cemetery paranormal investigator, Michelle Starnes realized that while we were there her digital recorder was playing, and after downloading it on Adobe Audition found out that there is what sounds like a church bell ringing. The only problem is there are no churches or church bells in the area.

At 2:04 you can hear what sounds like "Stained Glass" being said. At 2:28 Jason Montgomery makes the comment as we are nearing the church that he likes stained glass on churches. Interesting. Paranormal Investigators of G.H.O.S.T.:
Our first year has pasted! Some said we would not make it, but here we are still blogging our way through each investigation. We may not be one of the top paranormal groups, but as most do not know our game plan it did not involve the group purposefully heading into that direction. As a group, and the day that we did start we made the decision that we would become a scientific group aimed towards answering questions that deal with the paranormal and to collect the data necessary to try to answer those questions, not to go out and make a name for ourselves. I would like to say "Thank-you" to Mary, Jason, and Michelle for giving the best that they could towards this group this past year. You have been great and true friends and I could not ask for anything or anyone better. Better investigations are still to come! Jack, you are a dear friend to me, and I look forward to working with your group at some point. I love ya all!!!! Thanks for everything!!! For those of you who thought that I would never get to this point, well....I am still here and I will still keep going on and will never give up on the paranormal......it's in my blood.

On January 16th, 2009, G.H.O.S.T. conducted an investigation in Marion, IN. This EVP was captured during the investigation. You can hear the spirit/entity asking the question, "How Long?" During this investigation we encountered what most investigators call a "Knocking" ghost. There is evidence of this encounter and further evidence will be downloaded at a later date. Kokomo, IN. Investigation--The Gas Leak!

On June 12th, 2010, G.H.O.S.T. traveled to Kokomo, IN. for an investigation at a private residence. The name and address will not be released for the privacy of the clients. The home was built in 1914, and is approximately 100 years old. The clients have been told that at some point a little girl died in the home of scarlet fever. This was a very exciting investigation for us, first, a major storm went through and knocked over a large tree onto part of the fence, and later in the evening as we were conducting EVP's we heard fire trucks coming up the street only to realize that they were stopping in front of the home. There was a gas leak somewhere within the area of the home, which was later discovered to actually be at the neighbors home across the street. According to Monica Baker this closet in her daughter's room actually was a bathroom, but was later changed due to an incident at the home concerning the previous owners. It has been stated that the older couple who lived in this home committed suicide, and it was the gentleman who took his life in this room.

The April 24th, 2010 Rainbow goes to a double Rainbow! So exactly what is a Rainbow? According to the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Encyclopedia copyright 2000, a Rainbow is a series of concentric colored arcs that may be seen when light from a distant source--such as the sun--falls on a collection of water drops such as rain, spray, or fog. The rainbows are caused by the refraction and internal reflection light rays that enter the drop, each color being bent by a slightly different angle. This is Rush Cemetery located in the Washington County area. I was taken to this cemetery about two years ago and was told that it is a Civil War Cemetery, but I do not know this for sure. I would like to do some further research to find out if it is or not. The tombstones that you see in this picture are basically the only ones that are there. On May 22nd, 2010 there was a Memorial and Birthday party held in Ryan Chastain's honor at the Fish and Game Club in Salem, IN. God took Ryan away from his family on July 22nd, 2007. This year would of marked Ryan's 18th birthday. In celebration for Ryan, G.H.O.S.T. Founder Tina Dean, and Paranormal Investigator, Michelle Starnes (Also Ryan's Sister), are seen here posing for a picture at one of the tables set up to collect money for some of the event's held for Ryan. Money was being raised to help obtain the remaining part of Ryan's tombstone. At this time if there is anyone who would like to donate may do so by contacting Tina Dean or Michelle Starnes. There will also be future events held in Ryan's honor to continue raising money. This picture was taken at the Whisper's Estate Investigation on February 13th, 2010, by Michelle Starnes, Paranormal Investigator in Training, on the second floor of the home in the first bedroom on the left, which is known as Jesse's room. As you can in see in the picture this is an Orb in motion. During our first run time, which is one hour, there was a lot of activity going on throughout the home. On February 13th, 2010, G.H.O.S.T. will be traveling to Mitchell, Indiana to do an investigation at Whisper's Estate Bed and Breakfast. As an investigator I have been there six times, and find it very interesting! The first time that I went I heard what sounded like "Moaning" coming from the hallway on the main floor. I have also heard the little girl entity, Rachael as she is called, ask us to "Come play with her." It sounded as she was standing at the top of the stairs calling down to us to come to the second floor to play. While I was sitting in the parlor (living room) I felt a presence as it walked in front of me and heard it say, Hi! There are so many interesting paranormal activities that go on in the house, and G.H.O.S.T. is excited about returning. Further updates will be added at a later date.

Tunnelton

This is the infamous train tunnel located in Orange County, Indiana. Some say at night that you can actually see a "Ghost Train" go through, and others have stated that you can feel the wind as though a train was passing by. Some say that there was and is still a graveyard at the top of the tunnel. The last time that G.H.O.S.T. was there in 2009 all of us heard a train whistle as we were walking back to our cars, I personally heard it four times. The gravel road to the tunnel runs along the tracks, and as we were heading back we never saw or heard a train come through. G.H.O.S.T. will be conducting an outdoor investigation sometime this Spring or early Summer.

Introduction:

The Ghost Hunter's Official Scientific Team (G.H.O.S.T.) lead by Ms. Tina Dean, Founder and President, performed an investigation at the historic West Point Hotel on November 14th, 2009. The investigators who were also present were Mary Cheshire, Jason Montgomery, Jack Oliver and Kevin Blakely of S.I.G.N.

In an interview with business owner, Cindy Rutledge, the following information was obtained:

There were basically four owners of the Hotel:
1902: The hotel was called the Railroad Hotel.
1960: It was a boarding home.
1990: A Restaurant
2000: West Point Hotel

Owner's Cindy Rutledge and Mary Ellison took over in 2000.

Ms. Rutledge reported personal experiences that include: feeling cold spots, doors opening and closing, and objects disappearing and moving. Mr. Rutledge recounted two personal experiences involving objects moving. She had almonds and quarters hit her as if they had been thrown at her. Also, toothpaste was smeared over an object in the kitchen.

Site Description:

This building is currently being used as a restaurant (Star Cafe) and an antique store, and the upstairs is currently being renovated by the owners to serve as a Bed and Breakfast. It is located immediately off Main Street in a small town setting. The downstairs consists of a restaurant, dining room, industrial kitchen, three rooms that serve as an antique store, and a "Red Room" that serves as an extra dining area. There is also a set of restrooms for the restaurant and store. The upstairs consists of three more room that are being used as part of the antique store. On the right side of the hallway, there are three rooms that are being renovated into bedrooms for the Bed and Breakfast and one full, functional bedroom, also to be used for the Bed and Breakfast. There is a basement that consists of three spaces. One is used as food storage for the restaurant, one was just an open space, and the third was storing China and other items, to be sold in the antique store. The restaurant and store are owned by mother and daughter, and one other employee works there.

Pre-Investigation:

No pre-investigation was performed at this location.

Interventions:

No interventions have been reported at this location.

Methods Used for Investigation:

During this investigation the investigators used several methods to collect data, which included: Electronic Voice Phenomenon, known as EVP, and pictures were taken by all investigators with digital cameras both inside and outside of the building. Jason Montgomery managed Tina Dean's Homeland Security Camera and ran a Hi-8 camera upstairs. Mary Cheshire took temperature readings and cell sensor readings in each room. Jack Oliver and Kevin Blakely took Mellimeter readings outside and inside, which measures Ambient Temperature and Electromagnetic Fields, known as EMF.

Results of the Investigation:

EVP:

No anomlies were found. Mary Cheshire's recorder failed to embed recordings taken during the EVP sessions.

Video Setup:

The Sony DCR-SR 100 Video Camera was operated in the 16:9 aspect ratios, which provides a resolution of 2.06 Mp with Dolby Digital 2 at 5.1 channels. Movies are recorded in Moving Picture Experts Group 2 (MPEG2)format, which is high-definition format. The Sony Hi-8 camera was set-up in the upstairs hallway facing Northwest. Another Hi-8 camera was run by Tina Dean during the EVP sessions. No anomalies were found.

Homeland Security Camera:

The Security Camera was set up in the 2nd bedroom on the left of the upstairs hallway, right beside the "Baby Room." The infrared lens was facing southwest. The camera itself has one Infra Red Lens, and runs with a VCR. The tape was put in around 6:30 p.m. and ran for approximately five hours. The Security Camera and VCR functioned normally. No anomalies were found.

IR Thermometer:

The IR Thermometer was run by Mary Cheshire. One reading was taken for each room in the building. The readings were as follows: Examples:

Babys Room (Room 1): 65.5 F
First room to the right of the stairs (Room 2): 62.5

Cell Sensor Readings:

Cell Sensor was run by Mary Cheshire. One reading was taken in each room in the building. The Cell Sensor is used to detect anomalous spikes in eletromagnetic readings measured in Mgz. The readings were as follows: Examples:

Baby Room (Room 1): 0 Mgz.
First room to the right of the stairs (Room 2) 0 Mgz.

Millimeter:

Jack Oliver and Kevin Blakely operated Millimeter gauges, which measure Temperature and Electromagnetic Fields (EMF). The following readings were collected by Jack Oliver and Kevin Blakely, of S.I.G.N. Examples:

Data Set 1: Around the perimeter of the entire hotel.

Milliguass highest 0.5-0.8

Data Set 2: First floor of the West Point Hotel.

Milliguass highest 0.6

Data Set 3: Basement.

Due to the power lines running all through the inside of the basement, we were unable to get a accurate background milliguass reading.

Digital Photos:

Several of the investigators took photographs with digital cameras throughout the interior and exterior of the building. After downloading the photos, it was discovered that there were anomalies in some of the photographs. Upon further analysis, Tina Dean decided that the photos of the apparition as seen on the blog would be added to the final report. It was confirmed that there were a series of four photos taken by Mary Cheshire of an apparition that was manifesting in four stages. This picture has been added to the blog.

Personal Experiences:

There were many personal experiences throughout the night which included audible voices, seeing shadow people, footsteps being heard and at one time Mary was touched on the head by something.

Discussions:

After the investigation, investigators held a brief meeting to discuss what happened during the investigation. We dicussed the need for the photo that was added to the report to be analyzed further, and we also discussed Jack Oliver and Kevin Blakely's personal experiences in the basement.

Final Comments:

After the investigation, we believe that there is a possibility of paranormal activity in the West Point Hotel. We plan to return to the location to perform a subsequent investigation with the goal of collecting more data and more information in order to further our research on the hotel.

This picture was taken at the Marion, IN. investigation where we experienced what investigators call a knocking ghost. The investigators would knock and the ghost would reply back with knocking on the kitchen wall. The knocking was captured on a RCA Tape Recorder by Tina Dean, Founder and President, along with a Class A EVP that states: Breath. To continue the subject of Fog I would like to share with you what Fog actually is. From the "Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Encyclopedia" Copyright 2000 Fog is listed as the following: A cloud of small water droplets near ground level that is dense enough to reduce visibility. Fog is formed by the condensation of water vapor on condensation nuclei that are always present in natural air. The most stable fogs occur when cold air moves over a warm, wet surface and becomes saturated by the evaporation of moisture from the surface. Convection currents carry the fog upward as it forms, and it appears to rise as steam or smoke from the wet surface. Experiment #2 Missionary Cemetery

This is another picture that I took holding the camera on the side of my mouth, and blowing out my breath. It sure does look like a "Mist", but it is not. There are certain things that we look at when we check our pictures when we do have "Mist."
You really need to watch the temperature and make sure that it is not too cold when you are working in cemeteries. Once it gets too cold you really want to make sure that you hold your breath while taking the picture, or better yet wait until warmer weather to go out.

We were in Missionary Cemetery on November the 21st. The temperature was 48 degrees and I took this picture as I blew out a deep breath. Some people would call this a "Mist", and as you can see it does look like one, but it was controlled by my breathing.
